John Mirau*

John Mirau structures, negotiates and documents acquisitions, dispositions, construction, joint venture, development, leasing, title and survey matters and many other issues likely to arise in complex real estate transactions. In recent years, his practice has focused on the exchange, acquisition and sale of single tenant, triple net properties for a variety of different types of clients. He also has broad experience in obtaining entitlements for industrial, retail and residential projects.

John also is a Certified Tax Specialist under the California State Bar specialization program. He provides clients with advice as to structuring business and real estate transactions in the most tax efficient manner. He advises clients on structuring successful 1031 exchanges and locating appropriate replacement properties for commercial, industrial and retail properties that are being sold.

John is actively involved in the community. He has been President, director, and an active participant of Inland Action (a group of business and community leaders who advocate for the Inland Empire) for many years. He also has assisted many local charities in obtaining their 501(c)3) status from the Internal Revenue Service.
