Michael J. Lewin graduated with a B.A. from California State University at Fullerton in 1986. He attended the University of Akron Law School where he received his J.D., cum laude, in 1990. Michael’s practice is focused primarily on real estate business transaction law and includes structuring, negotiating and documenting property acquisitions and dispositions, construction contracts (both private and public contracting), development agreements, commercial leasing (including long term ground leases), representing clients in tax deferred (1031) exchanges, obtaining entitlements for the development of property, and environmental conservation agreements.
Michael’s practice further includes representing public agencies both as general counsel and special real estate counsel, and handing public works contracts for public improvements and infrastructure projects, including competitive bidding requirements, prevailing wage requirements, and public/private joint venture development of commercial projects.
