Robert W. Cannon has been Certified as a Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law by The State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization for more than 29 years (since January 1992). His practice includes the preparation of trusts, wills, LLCs, lifetime gifts, trust administration, probate administration and preparation of estate tax returns.
Bob is a former president of the San Bernardino County Bar Association, chair of the Judicial Evaluation and Bench/Bar Committees and former chair of the Probate Section.
He is a former president and a member of the San Bernardino County Estate Planning Council, a former president and a founding member of the board of the Inland Empire Planned Giving Roundtable and a former member of planned giving organizations affiliated with the following organizations: University of California at Riverside, Loma Linda University, California State University San Bernardino, The Community Foundation and the Inland Empire Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He has also been an instructor in the Legal Assistantship program at the University of California at Riverside Extension teaching the Probate Practices and Procedures course.
Bob graduated with a BS in Finance and an MBA from the University of Utah in 1982 and 1983, respectively, and a JD from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1986. He was invited to join the San Diego Law Review and received the Ralph Gano Miller Taxation Award as the top tax student. He also received the designation of Certified Financial Planner in 1986 and allowed the designation to lapse in 1997.
